Song from Bulgaria- Computer Story

We are singing in Bulgarian-our native tongue because we want to show everyone how beautiful it is It's a story about one computer and its "friends"- the cat and the mouse! Let's have fun together!

Germany - Es ist Sommer

This song is about summer.
During the Flashmeetings we have learned that we live in hot and cold countries. In the entries we can see children having a lot of fun in the snow as well as on the beach.
This nicely goes along with our song where it says:
"It doesn't matter whether you are hot or cold,
for summer is what's going on in your head".

We very much enjoy being part of this project
and we're looking forward to the voting.

Portugal Entry - "Menina estás à janela"

Our song is a traditional folk music about our region: Alentejo.

5th form sing it in Portuguese but at the end they sing some English words.

We hope all members enjoy it!

We are very proud cause we are relatives of a big family called Schoolovision2009 which lives around Europe and is connected with strong chains of friendship!

Schoolovision Cyprus entry

Hello from Cyprus!!

This is the Cyprus entry. We are grade 5 students and we were chosen among 6 classes in the semi-finals in our school. Our song is called "Rita Ritaki" and it is in Greek. It is about a man who loves a woman named Rita. It is a famous song in Cyprus and we like it a lot. We hope you will enjoy it and vote for us!!!

Moja fantazja - Poland

"My Fantasy" is a popular Polish children's song, sung in schools and kindergartens. The song talks that fantasy and imagination is needed to have fun. Good luck!

Irish Entry

Here is the Irish entry singing their National Anthem Amhrán na bhfiann- The Soldiers Song and playing their tin whistles. We hope you enjoy it!

Schoolovision Welsh Entry

This is a traditional Welsh song called "Sosban Fach". The song catalogues the troubles of a harassed housewife. It is sung a lot at Rugby matches, especially when the Lanelli Scarlets are playing! We really enjoyed singing it, especially the Oi! Oi!. You should all join in with this part.

Hwyl!

"Open your heart" from Iceland

The song “Open your heart” was sung in Eurovision 2003 by Birgitta Haukdal. The girls sang this song in Flatovision (a competition in our school - Flataskóli) in March and it was selected the best number. They sing the song in English and the dance is composed by the dancers. Enjoy :-)

Hot'n'cold - Song from France

This is the French contribution to schoolovision...although it is in English! As a matter of fact, I'm the English teacher of the children and we found it interesting to sing in English. Our song contains a lot of contraries, which we learned while singing, and it is easy to sing. So, come on: sing with us!

This is the greek entry for Schoolovision 2009.
Our song is called "The Game of Love".
Love is the key for happiness, peace and progress for the whole world.
And the game of love is the path that we all should follow...
The children have chosen this song because they like it's meaning and rythm
and because they love the singer of this song, Elena Paparizou.

Hello from Finland! Our song , Tirlittiä, is an old traditional song with nonsense words. Pupils enjoyed very much making the video. We hope you like it.

Hello from the Czech republic. Our song is a children's song written by Inka Rybarova. The title of the song is Hejkal (The Bugaboo). We hope you will like it.

Odda Primary School is located in Odda city. The oldest part of the school's building is from 1912, but has been refurbished and built on. In January 1998 we used a new, modern extension that includes all 6-year-olds and Children Day-care Center. In January 2003 we’ve got a new ICT- Center and school library. The school has 440 pupils and 65 adults are working there. Odda local authority has about 7100 inhabitants. We are an industrial city with two big factories; Boliden, a zinc company established in 1924, and Tinfos owned by the Eramet Group.

EB 2,3/S Cunha Rivara is situated in Arraiolos, a small village famous for its tapestry: Arraiolos Rugs. Arraiolos is in Alentejo which stays in Planícies (Plains) and it’s near Évora, World Heritage city very beautiful.

5th Year will sing for all Europe celebrating joy and friendship with one of our traditional folk music.

School "Vladimir Streinu" Teiu is situated in southern Romania at a distance of 30 miles of city Pitesti, tulips’city, in Teiu village. Includes primary school cycle and secondary education cycle with a total of 100 children. Teiu School has a long history and strong bearing the name of a great Romanian poet “Vladimir Streinu”. In our school, nothing is coincidence: pupils are very good workers despite the precarious situation from which some of them, with much appetite for life and optimistic. They are proud of what they do and make everything thinking a better future for themselves and for their fellow pupils.

We are from Turkey. Our school, Nazire Merzeci Ilkogretim Okulu, is situated in İzmir where is the third biggest city of our country. It has a lot of tourist attractions and it is famous for its seaside. Our school was established 18 years ago. It is very large, it has about 1800 students aged 6-14. They are divided into two parts - the primary level (6-11) and the lower-secondary level (11-14). We love singing and look forward to uploading our song. Iceland are represented by Flataskoli Gardabaer which is situated not far from the capital of the island, Reykjavík.
Flataskoli is a primary school with 320 students aged 6 to 12 years old. It was established in 1958 so we are celebrating 50 years of our school this year. We are doing a lot of activities because of the 50th years anniversary and this is a good opportunity to do something different.

In late March, we held our school elimination round, called Flatovision, where many pupils sang songs and we chose a winner. So, the song we will sing is called "Open your Heart" and we hope you all enjoy listening to it in May.
