Hello from Austria!! Our song is the "Schulordnungsblues" - the "Schoolregulations-song"

We all know that rules are necessary to learn and live together in harmony.
Our favourite song is a story about rules at school such as .....

- put off our shoes in the wardrobe
- not any scuffle
- salute pleasant
- quiet down
- listen carefully

We think we are a good team and have much fun together!!

Flash Meeting today with Scotland and Denmark

Today, we had at last our flash meeting with 2 countries:
Scotland and Denmark.
Me and my children loved this meeting and wanted to say
a huge thanks to Michael,
who gave us the opportunity to take part in a meeting like this.
Last time we couldn't be online, because of technical problems.
We are all in the final countdown till the 15th of May,
so Greece wishes to everybody
Good Luck!

FlashMeeting test- 29th April

We are going to be...amici! Song from Italy

This is a story, like many others, about friendship at school.

All the funny moments, in and out the classrooms, don't finish when the bell rings but they are going to continue...

We, Italian and European children, are going to be FRIENDS!!

Here is the You Tube version of the song.

FlashMeeting - Monday 27th April

Today, we had another chance to test out our equipment in schools before the big vote in May. A huge "Thank you" to all the partners who came along to this morning's FlashMeeting. We had 17 partners there, and overall, things worked very well, though there were some teething problems with microphones and some of the webcams.

You can watch a replay of today's meeting here.

Thanks to Marek Fularz, our Polish partner, for this fantastic picture!

If you experienced problems with your equipment, please take some time to test your school microphone thoroughly by going to the test page of FlashMeeting which is here.

Thanks again.
Michael

Preparations in Poland

This video shows school contest we prepare to select song we will use for schoolovision.
Here some photos of this event:

Test videos etc have moved...

To create some space on the Schoolovision blog, I have moved all the test videos, and introductions that everyone made earlier in the project to a new blog.

We all agree that they are a fantastic resource, and a very valuable part of the overall project, so I certainly didn't want to lose them. All the comments that have been made by pupils and partners in the project are still there too.

You can see them all on the Schoolovision test video blog here.

Thank you!
Michael

Child Wonder - song from Estonia

Every fact and every rule has to be learned – learn, child wonder!
The one who’s eager to learn numbers will one day be a genius!
Like a worm eating a mushroom, a child wonder wants to have it all.
A small wise guy will be a genius tomorrow.

Everything has its own number, everything revolves around a mess of numbers!
House number, account number, flat number and shoe size,
Shirt size, trousers size, coat size, hat size,
Sock size, cap size, fax and phone number…

You can’t escape it: a number faces you everywhere!
A child wonder’s speciality is the number, a big big number.
A child wonder knows everything, it’s no wonder!
Only sometimes, oh no, you forget your name…

Hvalborg - Song from Denmark

Denmark Stadil-Vedersø Skole

This video is based on Shubidua's "Hvalen Hvalborg"

This is a very very sad song telling the story of Hvalborg the Whale.
Once she was a very big, strong and beautiful queen of the oceans.
But now she is dead, stuffed with old newspapers and cotton.
You can see her exhibited for a dime.
All we now have is the memory,
so we can only say sleep well, goodbye and leave her.

"Flatovision"

News from Iceland
When we decided to take part in Schoolovision we thought it would be a good idea to organize Flatovision to let the students show off their talent. They got a little over a month to prepare and choose a song.

Fourteen numbers were registered which included soloists, duets, and larger groups performing, two of which were created by the students. We had five externals judging the competition and it turned out so well that we‘re interested in turning this into a yearly event. Now all we have to do is to create a video and publish it on the internet in time. Thanks for this great idea Michael.
